Hello everyone,

I’m Raquel, and I’m delighted to be part of this inspiring Girls in Property community. My journey in the built environment began over 20 years ago when I qualified as an architect and urban designer in Brazil. Shortly after, I made the bold move to the UK, where I’ve since gained invaluable experience working with renowned architectural practices and house developers.

With an MSc in Construction Project Management, I’ve had the privilege of working with companies such as Barratt Homes, Citu, DLA Architects, Bowman Riley and lately Rouse Homes. Throughout my career, I’ve navigated the challenges of a male-dominated industry, determined to change the narrative and carve out my own path. My ambition is to be my own boss and to inspire other women to do the same.

I specialise in helping developers create spaces that maximise their profit, offering expertise from design planning through to technical drawings and building control approval. I’m passionate about creating high-quality, functional environments and supporting others in achieving their goals within the property sector. I look forward to connecting, sharing experiences, and learning together with you all!

Warm regards,Raquel xx
